‘Til we meet again

It’s with mixed emotions that I write this first post. For two weeks, my arms have been outstretched in goodbye embraces, but at the moment my skin is itching with excitement of “the next big thing”. I’m filled with curiosity: What does it all look like? What will my senses take in? What will be my first impressions? What Canadian convenience will I miss the most? Who will I meet? What new experience will I have each day?

Fact: I am a curious person. My friends know this all too well as I inundated them with questions, begged for clues, and drove then nuts as they tried to organize a going away party. Tried?? More like succeeded through the roof with flying colours and to the moon and back! I felt so honoured at this magically themed party by the sea. Thank you to all who organized, contributed, found a white outfit, and shared in a spectacular ocean side farewell!

As I sit in the international terminal of YVR, I am reminded of my last big move. Nine years ago, I packed up my car and drove from PEI to Vancouver to settle into West Coast living.  I made the best of friends, finished two more degrees, started my career, discovered my passions, created multiple communities, and frankly, grew up. And there I stayed…Until now.

So let the adventure begin! The farewells have been said, the happy tears have been shed, the bags have been packed, and the blog is now up and running. 🙂

‘Til we meet again. xo
